Dochka, who passed in April of this year at the age of eighteen and a half. Her name means "dear little daughter." She was my first cat. She had been abandoned in a shopping cart in a supermarket parking lot. The vet estimated her age at the time as four months. She never had kittens, but adopted each newcomer to our household as her own. She even tried to foster baby birds that I raised. She was incredibly intelligent and sweet-natured. We miss her terribly. |
